We are entrepreneurial, commercially minded and solution oriented accountants and tax specialists who are genuinely invested in and passionate about our client’s success. The Tax House started its life as a tax consultancy, but rapidly expanded into offering the full spectrum of accounting and business advisory services. In 2016 The Tax House recognized the value and necessity to move into digital and cloud solutions and made a decision to migrate all clients to Xero as the accounting and business platform from which numerous integrated business apps and advisory services could be initiated as enhanced services to our clients. This positioned The Tax House well in recent times when cloud solutions increasingly become a way of life.
Whilst we love The Tax House brand, we found the brand limiting in that people unfamiliar to the brand inadvertently  assumed  that we were only tax specialists, thus missing an opportunity to engage with us on accounting, compliance, cloud solutions and business advisory.
And then, Omne was born. The rebrand took place in 2021, after a long quest to find the perfect name. This brand had to encompass our mission and resonate with our team and our clients. Omne has its origins in latin meaning “Everything”. This is relevant to the holistic approach we take to strategic partnering with our clients to unlock value, bring their businesses to life and help make them be the best that they can possibly be.

Our Directors

Candice Mullins

Founder, Co-Owner and Managing Director.

Candice was born and schooled in Johannesburg.  She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 after having graduated from Rhodes University. She commenced articles with Deloitte and Touché in Johannesburg but moved back to the Eastern Cape. Here, she completed her articles with Fischer Hoffman Sithole (PKF).

An opportunity arose to take a Senior Lecturer post at Rhodes University where she lectured tax for seven years. It was during this time that her consulting business grew to a point where she had to choose between the academic world and private practice. Her academic experience was an excellent foundation in the technical aspects of Tax and Accounting. It has been invaluable in advising and assisting clients with their personal, tax and business structuring.

Candice has been closely involved in the professional development of the staff. She is also instrumental to the growth of the business both countrywide and beyond our borders.  Candice was involved in SME and tax training to SAICA members and presented at SAIT’s Annual Tax Indaba.  Candice has also written numerous tax articles in local newspapers and publications and been a guest speaker on leading radio stations. 

Simon White

Co-Owner and Managing Director
Simon grew up on a farm outside Grahamstown and attended school at St Andrews. After completing a BCom at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg and an H.Dipp.Acc at Rhodes University, Simon moved to Johannesburg. Here, he completed his articles at Deloitte and Touché and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999.
After undertaking a secondment with Deloitte and Touché to Miami and spending just over a year in London working in the banking sector, Simon returned to South Africa and spent 7 years at SA Breweries in various Financial Management positions. Later, Massmart approached Simon to take up the position of Financial Director of Massbuild, which owns the Builders Warehouse retail chains. After 5 years as FD, Simon moved into a Commercial Director role for a year. He was responsible for the customer, CRM and multi-channel strategies.

In 2015 Simon decided to move back to the family farm close to Grahamstown and join Candice as a co-owner and joint Managing Director in the business. Simon’s commercial and corporate experience brought a new skill set to the business that has facilitated the expansion of the advisory services to our clients and to support Candice in taking an already successful business to the next level.
